In hospitals, project management covers a large number of areas and elements. The main elements include scope management, human resource management, quality management, communication management, management of accounts and finance, and risk management. An efficient project management team in a hospital effectively communicates with the hospital team (which includes the hospital administration, human resources department and also all the other staff) and constantly updates its members regarding the day-to-day activities.

Therefore, the project manager must monitor the progress of a particular project, resolve issues among team members, and also see if the tasks are completed as per the schedule. At present, many hospitals consider project management as a key element that is necessary for their proper functioning.
