Project Management Requirement Process

Most successful professionals will agree that ‘requirement’ is a key word in project management. It is essential to clearly understand the requirements in its totality before venturing to run the project. It is believed that many projects had failed in the absence of well-defined project requirements. Mastering the requirements process endows the project manager with the ability to apply requirements techniques to achieve the project end results.

The success of any project lies in the effective use of requirements management practices as a communication and project management tool. At the initial stages of the project, there may not be much need for skillful Requirements Management. That need may truly arise as the project unfolds.

Successful project management is all about managing the relationship requirements amongst the set tasks, the people involved and the appropriate technologies applied. A thorough knowledge of how to devise, modify, and adapt the requirements processes is the key to timely project completion.
