Strategy: Follow these steps:
1) Go to a blank cell.
2) Type an Equal sign.
3) Enter a calculation, as shown in Fig. 409.
4) Hit F9 key. Note the result, as shown in Fig. 410.
5) Hit the Esc key to clear the cell.
Summary: Excel can provide a quick calculator in a blank cell by typing the Equal sign, typing in the problem, and then hitting F9.
