Part two of the Drawing Tool guide will show you how to import graphics and photos, add text, and insert the drawing into your Microsoft Works page.

This is part two of the drawing tool guide. In part two you will learn how to use photos and graphics in the drawing board. I will show you how to add text in the drawing board too. You will also learn how to close the drawing board and insert the drawing into the page.

The drawing tool also allows you to import photos or graphics into the drawing board. To insert a photo or graphic, go to the top of your window and click File > Import Picture. Locate the photo or graphic that you want to use and double click it. It will appear in your drawing window. You can move it around by dragging it. You can also resize it by dragging the corner inward and outward.

You can create borders or frames for your photos or graphics by using the drawing tool. It is also a great way to create posters and banners. See the frame below that I created. This is just an example. I threw these two together to give you a visual of what you can do with the shapes and graphics with the Drawing Tool.

You can also add text in the drawing board. To add text, click the Text Icon in the toolbar. Click the drawing board and type what you want. You can move the text around by dragging it with your mouse. You can also change the color of the text by changing the line color at the bottom of your window. To change the font style and size, go to the top of your window and click Text > Font. When the font box opens, change the font to what you want and the size to what you want.

Play around with the drawing board to create many different things. Whenever you are ready to exit the drawing board, simply click the X. When you click the X a box will pop up and ask if you would like to save the drawing. Click yes to save it and insert it into your page. Whatever you did in the drawing window will appear on your page.

That is how you use the Drawing Tool in Microsoft Works Word Processor. The drawing tool is also known as the drawing board.
