Corel WinDVD 9 Plus Blu-ray is a great way to watch your DVDs on your computer. Your videos will never look and sound better than with this software.

Corel WinDVD 9 Plus Blu-ray

Corel WinDVD 9 Plus Blu-ray was made specifically for Blu-ray and HD DVDs so that you can play them on your computer. This takes the place of standard Windows Media and other computer movie players, which more often than not are quite noisy and sometimes inconsistent.

WinDVD is quite easy to set up and only took a few minutes. The prompts are easy to follow and quickly upload the software. If you need to install additional applications to run the software, the applications are already on the CD for you.

Once the application is set up, you don't even need to restart. You can simply open up the application. Plus, WinDVD will play your home movies for you so that you can share them with the whole family. There's no more need to upload them to YouTube, where you will no longer have proprietary control of your videos.

To play a DVD or CD, you simply need to put it into your drive. WinDVD will take it from there. What's really nice about this software is that you have the choice of whether or not you want to see the controls for playing the DVD.

If you choose not to have the controls, you can bring them up by using the Alt + Tab function. Without the controls, you get a full screen or wide screen version of the movie that takes up your entire monitor, just like your regular TV. The colors and clarity of this software are amazing. There was little to no noise throughout the entire movie. Plus, if you haven't invested in either HD or Blu-ray DVDs yet, this software will also play regular DVDS with similar clarity.

And, for around $100, it is well worth the price. The only downside to this player is that you can't make it your default player MPEG-2 HD, and you have to use another player for MOV and WAV files

Overall, the Corel WinDVD 9 Plus Blu-ray software program was easy to use and looked great. The audio was perfect, even on standard speakers. But, it's the clarity and vibrancy of the picture that made this software so worthwhile.
