Photo DVD Creator is a program that you can use to create videos using your digital photos. This is a really neat program and it is fairly easy to use once you get the hang of it. This is a four part tutorial. In the first part of this tutorial I will show you how to add your photos, edit them, and add music. The second part of this tutorial will show you how to apply effects to the photos and add text. The third part of this tutorial will show you how to set up your menu and burn your video to a DVD. The fourth part will show you how to create more than one video on one DVD. So, let’s get started with part one of this tutorial.
Open Photo DVD Creator and let it load. A splash screen will appear and have three options. Click the New Project option. Now you will see the two blank screens with the buttons at the top. Let’s minimize this window and get all of the photos together that you are going to use to create this video. Simply minimize it to your tray.
Create a new folder on your desktop. Copy all of the photos that you want to use for this video. Then paste all of the photos into the new folder that you created. Once you have finished copying and pasting, you can return to the Photo DVD Creator window.
At the top of the program you will see the Add Album button. Click that button and a menu will drop down. Select the Directory link from that menu. The Browse for Folder window will open. Locate the folder that you just created and click it. Then click the OK button. That will load all of your photos in the window on the right. You will see thumbnails of the photos that you pasted in the new folder.
Now we will apply the music that we want to play while the video is playing. At the top of the program you will see the music button. Click that button and the music box will open. At the top of the music box you will see the Add button, click that button. Locate the song that you want to add in the box that just opened. Double click the song to add it. By default there is already a song in the box. Click that song to highlight it. Then click the Delete button to delete it. Click the Close button when you have finished.
If you need to make any adjustments to the photos, you can do so right here in this program. Click a photo that you need to adjust and then click the Adjustments button. The adjustments box will open and you can make your adjustments in this box. Click OK when you are finished with that photo. You will have to do each photo the say way that needs adjusting. Once you have finished adjusting the photos, you can move on to part two to learn how to apply the effects and text.
