Before beginning, make sure you have collected the recipes you would like to include in the booklet. Divide them into categories such as entrees, sides, desserts, and so on. Although you may be excited about choosing colors, fonts, and other windings to make your booklet beautiful, I would suggest saving the fun for last. There are quite a number of ways to do this. I will explain each and you can decide which is easiest for you:
Method 1 (Size)
Under the Page Layout tab, click Size. A list of paper sizes will appear. If the size you would like is here, click it to apply it to your document. Keep in mind, for a smaller more compact booklet consider choosing a smaller paper size. To do this, click Size, More Paper Sizes and adjust the width and height of the paper as you would like.
Method 2 (Columns)
There are a variety of options here. To try these options, click Columns, and then Two, Left, or Right. To add more than one recipe per page the Two column option is best. A good idea when using the Left and Right column options would be to enter the ingredients and supplies needed in the smaller column and the directions in the other.
Cover Page. Unless you would like to create your own, Word has a cover page template for your convenience. To create a cover page, click the Insert tab, and then Cover Page. A menu will open displaying template options. Choose the cover page you like best. Feel free to enhance your Thanksgiving recipes with other Word utilities including the Watermark, Page Color, and Page Borders tools.
Crafting. At some point there will be a need for crafting whether it be minor or major. Some of the basic materials needed would be a hole puncher, ribbon, construction paper, small binder and whatever else you feel would enhance your booklet.
You can share with your friends and family how you made your Thanksgiving recipe book. They will be more than excited to create their own and share them with you as well! Have fun!
