Labor Day is the celebration of the American workforce and a great opportunity to make a teacher, co-worker, or bread winner of the home feel special with a holiday-themed desktop publishing projects.

Free Labor Day Project Ideas

There are many holidays that are uniquely American and Labor Day is one of those holidays. The holiday began as a tribute to the American workforce, to celebrate the contributions of the blue collar crowd that keeps the country running on a daily basis. Officially celebrated on the first Monday in September back in 1884, the Labor Day holiday has grown in meaning every time America has gone through tough times and the current recession is no exception. So, why not take some time this year and put those DTP skills to work by celebrating those who work to keep the rest of us going. To help kickstart the Labor Day celebration, we are going to take a look at a few DTP projects with links geared towards this often overlooked holiday.

Danielle's Place online has two free printable Labor Day card templates geared towards getting the kids involved in the celebration. Both cards feature an animal parade theme with your choice of animal characters to place on each card, along with Labor Day banners.
