Using Word 2007 to publish your blog is not only easy, it saves you a lot of time! You can write your blog offline and save it for publishing later!

Before beginning, it is important to note you can publish your blog entry at any point in the document. What you have already written will be transferred to the new blog entry. The font will be somewhat smaller. This is normal, as it is preparing the document for web presentation. In the title section, you will see Enter Post Title Here. The document name is not transferred, so you must enter a title for your blog here.

When you are ready, click the Office button, it’s the circle located in the upper left hand corner, with the Windows Office logo inside. Select Publish, select Blog. If you do not have a blog registered with Word, a dialog box will appear prompting you to do so. If you do not have a blog account, no need to worry, you can add one later and Microsoft also suggests compatible blog providers.

Located on the Ribbon are the Blog Post and Insert tabs. The Blog Post tab provides the following tools:

Blog.

  • Publish. You can publish your blog, or only publish it as a draft.
  • Homepage. This option will open the home page of your blog in a browser window.
  • Insert Category. If you have established categories within your blog, you can enter the category here and your blog will be posted into the category for you.
  • Open Existing. Allows you to edit an already published blog post.
  • Manage Accounts. Here you can add, delete or edit a blog account.

Clipboard. Contains the Cut, Copy, Paste, and Painter functions.

Basic Text. Contains the normal text formatting options such as Bold, Highlighting, Italics and Font.

Proofing. Contains the Spelling and Grammar tool, along with other proofing tools provided with this feature.

The Insert tab contains the following options:

Tables. This function enters a table or places your text into a table for you.

Illustrations. This section allows you to enter Pictures, Clipart, Shapes, SmartArt, and Charts.

Links. Opens the Insert Hyperlink dialog box, allowing you to insert a link to a web page or other important information.

Text. Allows you to use the WordArt tool to alter and enhance your text.

Symbols. Opens a dialog box which contains a large variety of symbols and signs for use in your blog entry.

After you have finished your blog, click Publish. The Blog Registration Wizard will guide you through the set up process and you’re done. Visit your blog to verify it has been published.

Hi Sanjay. After clicking Publish post, you will prompted to choose which blog you would like your post to be added. It will not automatically publish to all blog accounts. Hope this helps:)
