Father's Day is coming up and it's a great way to use your desktop publishing skills to make some family memories. The holiday itself started as a grassroots movement in Spokane, Washington back in 1910. With the creation of The National Father's Day Committee the movement grew. Popularity of the holiday celebration spread and through a Joint Resolution of Congress in 1956 Father's Day became an official holiday. In 1972, President Nixon established that Father's Day would be observed on the third Sunday of June every year. Just as with Mother's Day, the exact date of celebrating Father's Day changes yearly. For 2009 we mark the celebration on June 21.
