Free templates for flyers are available on the web to help you complete this desktop publishing project. Creating a direct-mail flyer is an effective and easy way to promote your business, at little to no cost. This article highlights the places you can obtain free flyer templates.

Finding Great Flyer Templates

Flyers designed easily from a template are a really inexpensive way to draw attention to your small business and bring customers into your circle of influence. Templates are a great tool because the general design work is already done for you so all you have left to do is decide what pictures, graphics, and text you want in the printable flyer to best highlight your products or services. The flyer templates I found from various websites had a good variety of categories specific to different types of businesses and were easy to browse through and customize.

Note: For more information on how to create your own flyer with templates and resources that you may already have available on your computer, check out Tips and Resources for Creating Free Printable Flyers.

Template Options

Stocklayouts is one good source to browse templates and they also have useful hints and instructions for creating flyers at http://www.stocklayouts.com/Products/SampleLayout/SampleChoice.aspx.

Serif has some quality templates available with a free download too at Serifsoftware.com.

Consider what Microsoft has to offer if you’re comfortable working with Word, Publisher, or Powerpoint. There is a bevy of flyer templates available from Microsoft at Office.microsoft.com. Once on that site, just click on Template and then you will find a large number of options under their Flyer category.

I also liked the selection available at http://www.templatezone.com/flyers-word-templates.php. There are other sites with more selections so search the web to find the template that is right for you to best advertise what you have to offer to your customers.

It might also be worth your while to do a little research on what the online printing companies have to offer. If you go that route then you can use their templates to personalize a flyer and the company will print them and send you the finished product. This way you don’t have to concern yourself with the printing and depending upon the price, the convenience might be worth it. Sometimes, Vistaprint offers this service for free with one of their promotional campaigns. Browse their options at VistaPrint.Com.

Whichever flyer template you choose, get creative and put your best foot forward with pictures, graphics, and text. Don’t forget to insert all the ways the potential customers can contact you. Print the finished product with the suggested paper and see what this effective method of advertising can do for you.
