Then we will get started with the gift tags.

Christmas Tree

Step 1 – Creating a New Page and Inserting a Table

Open your Microsoft Word program and create a new page to work on. Then insert a new table by clicking Table > Insert > Table. When the table properties box opens, enter six columns and 5 rows. We will use the table for a guide. Before we print the Christmas Tree gift tags, we will hide the table.

Step 2 – Inserting the Christmas Tree Graphic

You will first need to insert the Christmas Tree graphic that you saved to your computer. Click your mouse in the very first cell. Go to the top of your program and click Insert > Picture > From File. Locate the Christmas Tree that you saved and double click to open it. The tree will appear in the first cell. Click the tree so that it has a box around it. Grab the bottom right corner and drag it inward a little. Size the Christmas Tree to the size that you want it to be.

Step 3 – Adding Your Text

In the cell right beside the Christmas Tree, type To and From. Put a couple of spaces between To and From. Then highlight the text and change your font options to what you want.

Step 4 – Creating Your Other Christmas Tree Gift Tags

Now you can copy and paste the Christmas Tree and text to create your other gift tags. Click the Christmas Tree to select it, right click and click Copy. Paste the tree in the other cells. Paste them in every other cell. You shouldn’t have to resize them, they should stay the same size.

Now you can copy your text and paste it in the other cells. You can change the text, they do not all have to be the same. Feel free to press enter in your cells to center your text and Christmas Tree.

Step 5 – Hiding the Table

After you have created your gift tags and are ready to print, you will need to hide the table. Right click in a cell and click Borders and Shading. In the box that opens, you will see the Color box. Drop that box down and select the color white. Click OK on the box. The table is now hidden.

Step 6 – Printing your Christmas Tree Gift Tags

Now you are ready to start printing. I would print one sheet to start with, to make sure they come out right. You may need to adjust the table. Go to the top of your Microsoft Word program and click File > Print. Set your printer up and click Print.
