The web offers pages and pages of free graphics to download, but who has time to browse through them all looking for specific images? If you want to outline a page in roses, we have done the legwork for you. Check out this list of images and choose your favorites.

    Using These Images

    We have scoured the Internet and rounded up 10 sites providing graphics of rose borders that you can download and use free of charge. The images shown are only screenshot examples of what each site has to offer. While you can click on any image to enlarge it for a better view, if you wish to download images, you must go to the actual website. Links to each site are available in the References section at the end of this article.

    Hellas Multimedia

    This rich source of clipart images of all types offers 16 pages of floral borders, with a handful of choices on each page. Click through these borders to find options such as white and pink roses with butterflies on a wall, various colored roses on white, vertical borders and horizontal rose borders as well. Right-click the image of your choice and select the Save Image As option to save the graphic to your computer and use it in your publication.

    Clip Art Borders

    One might expect to find a healthy variety of border options on a site named Clip Art Borders, and this site does not disappoint. There are a couple of rose-themed options from which to choose, including this tattoo-style red rose outlines against a white background in a single corner design and a horizontal collection of red and white roses and leaves. Click on the image on the site that you want to use to enlarge it in a new window, and then right-click and save the image to your computer.

    Flower Clipart Images

    This site is devoted to floral graphics, which they offer at no charge, having created them or purchased them from trusted sources. Along with a wide variety of other flowers, there are several rose borders in an array of color choices from which to choose such as this red rose and vine corner border. Be sure to read and follow the Terms of Use listed for each image before using them.

    Lee Hansen Graphics

    Graphic artist Lee Hansen generously offers a vast collection of free clipart images, printables and other creations that you can use to enhance all of your desktop publishing designs. One such option is a variety of rose borders in different sizes and orientations. These roses are sweet, cartoonish sketches that somewhat resemble candies, which might be ideal for a little girl's scrapbook page or similar design. You can click on the border of your choice to enlarge it, and then right-click to save it.

    The Peirce Clipart Collection

    Another site offering an assortment of graphics for all of your DTP designs, Peirce Clipart has a page filled with nothing but borders and lines. Along with holiday designs and geometric patterns, there is a rose and leaf garland horizontal line border. In addition, they offer this row of red roses in their plant design collection that would also make a lovely border. Each image provides the option to download it as a PDF, WMF or PNG file.

    Encouraging users to be creative, has a large library of clipart images that you are free to download and use, provided you follow their Terms of Service. Check out the site's border and corner clipart collection and you will find a couple of rose-themed options. As the name denotes, you can have fun and draw at this site. After clicking on an image, click the Play With This Clipart button to modify the image.

    Artist, wife and mom of three, Michelle Collins provides a page of heart, rose and candy theme clipart images on her Squidoo lens. The rose collection includes horizontal rose petal borders in red, blue or purple. These delicate, realistic petals might be ideal for a wedding invitation or romantic stationery. Right-click any image and select the Save Image As option to save the graphic to your computer.

    WordPlay on HubPages

    Looking for something a bit more Victorian? While the two borders offered on this site are not strictly roses, they do combine roses with fruits, leaves and other flowers in a delightfully old-fashioned, romantic manner. You can choose between a full page border in either portrait or landscape orientation. Be sure to click on and read the "Rules of the Road" image near the bottom of the page prior to downloading any images on the site.

    Microsoft Images

    Whether you are using MS Publisher, Word or another program altogether, don't overlook the Microsoft collection of graphics. Searching "rose border" produces everything from a purple rose corner border to a bar of alternating roses and violins to this orange oval design. Other search terms, such as simply "roses" or "borders," will give you even more options from which to choose.

    Stock.XCHNG is technically a site that offers free stock photos, but it also offers a variety of stock illustrations that might be specifically what you are seeking. For instance, searching "rose border" on the site produces a few different designs featuring red roses and scrolling black designs. Be sure to read and adhere to the image's license agreement upon downloading.
