Polka Dot Calendar Template
With this yearly calendar template, Word lets you have some fun with color. Although the template is in an eye-popping magenta color scheme with a polka dot background and a fun font, you can customize the colors to suit your preferences if desired. To change the dotted background, go to the Format menu in Word 2003 and select Background, or go to the Page Layout tab in Word 2007 or 2010 and click on Page Color in the Page Background group. You can change the colors of each month using the picture toolbar or tab. The calendar is in Portrait orientation and creates a 2011 calendar.

Important Dates Calendar Template
This template includes two text boxes that run vertically down either side of the calendar so that you can type in notes, anniversaries or birthdays. Landscape Orientation Calendar Template
Perhaps you prefer a calendar in landscape orientation. If so, here is a template for you. This easy-to-read calendar has a completely white background with subtle gray, olive and brown accents so that you can easily write on the calendar once it is printed. If you wish to add text to it prior to printing, you can insert text boxes anywhere on the document. Blank Calendar Template
If you wish to make a custom calendar but do not want to start from scratch, take advantage of this Word template in which the bulk of the work has been done for you. The template includes a table with 12 cells, one for each month. Each of these cells contains another table with six rows and seven columns. Each small table is labeled with a month, and the first row in each table is labeled with the days of the week. All you have to do is enter the year and the dates for each month. This Landscape orientation calendar is in a purple color scheme that you can change to suit your preferences.
