Hi, everyone. My name is Brian Nelson, and I'm a new writer here on the Digital Photography channel. I just submitted my first article (Using Aperture Priority Mode). I hope to be able to provide a lot of insight from the prosumer perspective. Thanks to a supporting wife, I'm already running my own business from home, and she'd crack me over the head with a mallet if I tried to start a photography business too! 
But, I'm a serious photographer and hope to do it professionally soon!
I'm mostly about portraits and other people based photography. I like the challenge of capturing something about the person or the moment on film. I'm not so good at the shoot in the hustle and bustle type photography, so don't expect to see much from me on stuff like wedding photography or journalism photography.
