Getting More In Depth With Photrade.com

When you become a user on Photrade.com, your home page has a great amount of options for you to discover. There’s managing your account, joining groups and contests, managing your contacts, browsing photos, and many other things that will be discussed.

Browse is the first button next to home on your main page. This is where you can view photos from other users of Photrade.com. You can see photos that are featured on the website, recently uploaded photos, and photos that are popular within the community. This is also a great place to look because it gives you the option to browse photos by category as well. If you want to see photos within a specific topic or genre, this would be your best bet. If you are looking for a particular photo, you can also do a search within Photrade by typing it in the search bar on the top right-hand side of the page.

Within the Browse Tree you can also view your galleries and your photos. Your gallery is set up into whatever different topic categories you have chosen to put your uploaded photos into. Your photos category is a layout of all the photos you have uploaded, rather than separated into different categories, as the gallery is.

Next we have Groups. Groups can be those you have created, or those that you have been invited to join. The Groups category will also show you what groups your friends are a part of, and popular groups throughout the Photrade.com community.

Along the same line as groups is the Events category. It will show you events created by your friends, allow you to create your own, and show popular groups throughout the community.

Lastly, under the Browse Tree is Contests. Contests vary in terms of what the prizes are and what type of photos can be submitted. You can also create your own contests and choose what you would like to offer as prizes. It can be something as simple as their photo as the main picture in the group or you can offer them a prize like a camera bag or memory card.

Under the Manage button, you can view your photos and galleries much like the Browse button. You can also upload photos, visit your profile, and change your preferences. I won’t re-explain viewing your photos and galleries. We’ll start with uploading photos. You can click the Upload Photos button on your home page, or if you aren’t on your home page, you can navigate to Upload Photos by use of the Manage Tree. The process is pretty self-explanatory, so I won’t go into great detail.

Next is your Profile. In your profile, you can upload a headshot of yourself, list your website, introduce yourself to the community by way of a short biography, and list your interests. You can also click on the Contacts tab to view contacts, send them a message or delete them from your list.

The My Preferences tab is where the inner workings of the site are managed. Here is where you can change your password, edit personal information, handle the protection of your photos, view notifications and sharing options, and change and view your pricing details. Along the top, there are different tabs that will allow you to view the different aspects you can manage.

The Personal tab is where you can change details, such as your password or address.

Within the Protection tab, you can add an e-mail address of a person allowed to view your private photos, turn on theft protection, and create a watermark.

The Share tab allows you to control whether or not you want to share your photos using the adcosystem™ or if you wish to share photos without ads. You can also opt-out of sharing photos altogether.

Within the Notifications tab, you can choose when Photrade will send you e-mails. You can choose not to receive any e-mail from Photrade, choose a daily summary of events, or you can tell Photrade to only e-mail you when something interesting happens.

The most important tab under the Manage tree is Price Settings. Here, you can choose whether to have a specific dollar mark-up, a percentage mark-up, apply a price suggested by Photrade.com, apply the minimum price, or choose not to sell that item at all. The Price Settings allow you to change each item individually as well as change all the items as a batch.

The Contacts Tree is pretty self-explanatory. This is where you can view your contact list, and invite friends to join you on Photrade. Currently, each Photrade.com user only has three invites to use, so make sure to use them wisely. It’s best to save them for someone you know wants to be a part of the site, rather than just sending it to a friend who may look around and not stay interested very long.

The Sales Tree is another important aspect in Photrade. It gives you a link to your price settings like the Manage tab. It also has an option to manage your money. Any money that you have made from Photrade through selling items or ad revenue can be deposited into your PayPal account when you reach the minimum payout of $15.00. This tab will also show your balance and where the money came from.

That’s really all there is to it when it comes to using Photrade.com. As it gets closer to the public launch date, I’m sure there will be many other things added to Photrade.com to make it not only more user-friendly, but an easier way to make money.
