So far, basically everything is designed like many other photo editing applications. The difference comes with the Web Tools. Many Web designers use images for hot spots because they can use a picture of an item to relay the message of the product. For example, a Website is selling Compact Flash cards and they have many types of cards. Each card can be a hot spot that, when clicked on, leads to more product information.
In Figure 4, the designer wants to use the sign in the picture to lead the viewer to more information on Production Specialties. Select the Hot Spot Tool and in the Properties Panel name the spot (Text), put in the link to the page with more information, put in the Alt text, set the target and draw a blue rectangle around the Production Specialties sign. It is just that easy.
Now the image can be inserted into the Web page by using the Quick Export button (Figure 5). Once the image is uploaded and on the site, when someone clicks on the Production Specialties sign, it will open a new page with the information.
