Download and Install
.977 Music Mobile Radio can be downloaded free from FreewarePocketPC.net. The 799 KB CAB file can be downloaded either directly to your Windows Phone or to your PC - the CAB file must be present on your phone for installation to begin however, and this is done by selecting the CAB file to initialize the installer.
Windows Mobile 5 or later is required, alongside .NET Compact Framework 2.0 (available free from Microsoft). An unlimited (or very generous) data plan with your network provider is also recommended, while the software is best run on modern HTC phones such as the Touch Pro. It runs without problem on the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1i.

Upon launch of .977 Music Mobile Radio, a list of stations is displayed - to listen, simply select one! Windows Mobile Media Player will launch by default, and this is up to the task of playing the streamed radio content. Other media players should also be suitable.

It's a good range of content, and sound quality is reasonable. Volume and play/pause can be controlled via Windows Mobile Media Player.

There are more and more mobile streaming radio and TV apps for the Windows Mobile platform - .977 Music keeps the game simple. Rather than offering a multitude of stations as many other streaming radio apps provide (many of which probably won't get listened to) .977 Music instead offers the best of their own network of programming.
Sound quality is good and there's little lag when testing the signal on Wi-Fi which indicates the servers streaming the .977 Music content are currently up to the task of providing audio content.
As such the content on each of the channels is of the best quality, making this a highly recommended piece of Windows Mobile freeware.
