The HTC Touch Pro2 features a very stylish horizontal slider design that is reminiscent of the HTC Touch Pro, only slightly better. It has dimensions of 116 x 59.2 x 17.3 mm and weighs around 179 grams. It is very bulky and also weighs much more than current generation smartphones. It outweighs its closest competitor---the Nokia N97---by about 30 grams. However, you shouldn't have any problems if you have fairly large pockets. It looks very attractive with its shiny frame and large display; the display is larger than the iPhone 3G's.
The front face of the phone is occupied largely by the 3.6 inch display and the touch sensitive zoom bar and buttons below it. Above the display, you find the earpiece, the ambient light sensor, and the secondary camera. The sliding mechanism of the keyboard is very smooth and the keyboard feels ergonomic. The keys are just about the right size and offer nice feedback. Once you get used to it, which shouldn't take more than an hour, its very convenient to use.
The back of the phone sports the 3.15 MP camera flanked by the loudspeaker grill. The left side sports just the volume rocker while the right side houses the memory card slot. The top of the phone has the power key while the bottom has the MiniUSB port and the headphone port. On the whole, the build quality is pretty nice and the phone feels durable. No complaints on the design and build quality front.
