It has a well designed interface and is offered as a free ad supported application. The installation file weighs in at 500 kb and devices of all resolutions are supported.
moTweets comes with two skin options which are easy on the eye. Grey and blue skins are provided to cater to a large section of users. The user interface is also designed to be finger friendly and the menu's support kinetic scrolling.
You can even enter multiple logins for your twiitter accounts and save them in the application. Whats more, you can stay logged in to multiple accounts at the same time. This application is ideal for someone who uses twitter for business and personal reasons.
Apart from text to indicate the functions an icon is provided by the side which lends itself to easy finger selection. Like all other twitter clients ReTweet, Follow, Unfollow, Direct messages, Replies and favourites are supported. These various functions can be easily carried out using the buttons from within messages.
You can also configure a sound and/or vibration to signal updates to your timeline. The application supports photo uploading from your camera and file system, URL posting and location entry from your GPS reciever. I liked the interface and found it pleasant to work with.
Finally URL posting is accomplished using TinyURL which has long been a favorite of many website users, although it is not the chosen URL shortening service chosen by Twitter.
Overall moTweets is impressive and offers a robust piece of software for Tweeting on WiMo devices. There are two versions of the software available. One is an ad supported free version and a pro version priced at $3.99. The ad supported version is a good option and the ads are not intrusive.The multiple account functionality works well and is the main draw in this application. The touchscreen experience of using the application is also optimized and elegant.
