My Phone is a new service that is currently in the Beta Testing Stage (but open to the public). The program has been created to allow for the real time storage of all your phones information across your carriers data network. For example, users can choose to sync their contacts, photos, SMS, Videos, Calendar Appointments, Tasks, Documents and Videos to their My Phone account, at which point any changes made to your device are reflected in changes made to the users My Phone account.
If for any reason your phone fails to work at a later time, or you choose to purchase a new device, your information is easily transferrable back onto your device from your secured and backed up My Phone account.
Users can choose to sync just one or two types of data to their account via the softwares "Option" menu, or to sync all of the available types. The ability to sync only certain files is important since the program only gives users 200MB of storage and many users carry full album catalogs of music on their phones these days.
Users can also choose the "Archive To Web" function which will send their selected files to their My Phone account while removing those files from the users Windows Mobile device, this is a great option for files that are taking up space on your cell phone and that you rarely ever access, but might need at another time.
Finally My Phone includes a "deleted files" folder, which means if you accidentally delete a file from your Smartphone or Pocket PC you can access that file from your My Phone account, at which point it restores to your website account and to your mobile device, thus ensure accidental deletes don't destroy your work as they may have in the past.
The program works with just a few simple setup steps which Microsoft walks the user through, at which point the program works in the background of your device, keeping your data safe and secure.

How easy is it to get back up and running after a catastrophic system failure or when purchasing a new device:
According to Microsoft "All you need to do to get back up and running is get a new Windows Mobile phone, install the My Phone software client on the phone, enter your Microsoft Passport information, and your phone will pull down everything from the most recent backup. Other than any programs you might have installed (My Phone doesn’t back up those), everything should be right where you expect it to be. "
I don't think it could be any easier, but I'll let you decide on your own, either way it's worth the few minutes it takes to install and configure if you're serious about protecting your personal and business files in the easiest manner possible.
