The installation of Remind Me is very simple and can be done using the Nokia Application installer. To test out this application I used Remind Me version 3.5 on my Nokia E71 mobile device, which is a S60 3rd generation FP device.
Remind Me has many options that you are able to configure to specific events. This is nice because it allows you to enable events with different options. An alarm interval and recurrence of the alarm can be configured to suite your needs better.
You can also set an alarm to either be a vibration, ring tone or an alert light that shows up on the display. Another great feature is that you can set the volume of the ring tone, the vibration frequency and the display brightness for different profiles that your mobile phone supports. You can also set a unique alarm tone for different type of events.
To add to the flexibility of setting the reminders you can also select how it will react during different time periods during a day or even have it sound off different based on whether or not it is a weekend or a weekday.
The images at the bottom of this page show the main view and two different settings that are possible.
You are also able to configure how long you would like a reminder to remain silent for. This can be quite useful for particular users who may have meetings that could run long.
You can also disable and enable events after if you wish for it to not to be used for a certain time. This is a nice feature due to the fact that you do not have to delete the event in order to stop it from happening and thus saves you time by allowing you to just enable it again when you wish to use it again.
You can configure events to use different aspects of a profile and perform a reminder using what suites that profile best for a particular event.
This application from the setup to configuration is very easy to use. You basically just let it run, and it will perform whatever is required when a particular event occurs on your phone. The design is carefully thought out and user friendly.
I found no weakness while using Remind Me.
