This application can be used to help you get things done and manage your time correctly. To test out this application, I used an E65.
The installation of Papyrus is very easy and you will not be required to perform any extra actions to get it running after installation.
Papyrus upon launching for the first time will encapsulate all items that are based on calendar items on your phone.
You can move around throughout the calendar quite easily and quickly. You can also select from different views by using the right soft key.
You are even able to create different calendar items to remind you of whatever engagement you need to attend or special date to remember. You simply select the date with the D-Pad, then select the menu and choose the item you would like to create. You can also edit these items by selecting them in the view and then setting up whatever information is needed in the corresponding forms.
Within these forms you can set start and ending times, alarms, create a series of meetings, add categories or notes and even whoever may be attending.
The large number of default categories is quite nice since you aren’t required to create as many unique categories to use for items. Items may contain multiple categories also which really makes having a large number of default categories a bonus.
You can also filter your view to show you only specific categories which is why having categories is needed and helpful.
You are able to see how events are laid out in different views such as monthly, weekly, daily, etc. And from this you can see how much time you spend being occupied by events and this is displayed by small white bars for whichever view you are in. Typically this is best used on the daily view as it can give a better result that way.
Papyrus also allows massive customization from the Settings Menu. You can set different options from preferred views for specific categories to different colours for different types of events. And to top it off settings can be made for each of the four different views; this really creates an application that caters to you.
Papyrus is very easy to use due to the ease of navigating around the calendars. The steps required to create an event, reminder or task are intuitive to the design.
I found no weaknesses in Papyrus as it worked perfectly for any need I may have had.
Papyrus really is a useful tool that doesn’t work like other calendars. It allows you to customize it to your needs and has oodles of features that make it unique. It is also very easy to use even when syncing it to data on a PC.
This software is stellar and I give it a rating of 5 out of 5.
