The overall looks of the Nokia 2680 are good but not eye-catching, due to which the phone fails to attract many people.
On the front of the phone, you get a small 1-inch display, with 128x160 pixel resolution and support for 65 thousand colors. Below the display, Talk and End buttons, a navigation array of 2 soft keys, and 4-way navigation toggle with a select key in the middle are located. The phone has all the necessary buttons but misses a dedicated clear button for going back in the menus. The power connector, 2.5 mm headset jack and a USB port are on the right side, and the camera lens is on the back of the phone.

The menu system is basic and easy to understand. The phone does not offer the best menu interface but it is ok for basic users. When you dig into the submenus, the interface seems a bit confusing but anyone can become used it after a bit of use. The phone lets you customize the home screen with different wallpapers and themes, and you can also change the font color and size to your liking.
Due to the low resolution, the images and graphics do not look clear and sharp and text is also not very easy to read. Also, because the screen size is small, the messaging features don’t provide you with much of a pleasant experience. The keypad is nicely spaced and allows the user to type texts with ease. The sliding mechanism of the phone is smooth and securely locks itself into place.

The connectivity option on the phone is Bluetooth, for use with hands-free kits, headsets, object push, SIM access and file transfers.
The Nokia 2680 offers voice features including speakerphone, speed dialing, and SMS, MMS and Email messaging. The instant messaging clients the phone has include AOL, Hotmail, and Yahoo. However, due to the low resolution and small screen size, using this phone for emailing and instant messaging isn't ideal. There’s also a WAP browser, not advanced or very fast but it is sufficient for basic browsing like email checking, news reading etc. Wi-Fi is not present on the phone as it is a basic phone. Other features of the Nokia 2680 include some trial apps and games, a 0.3 MP VGA camera, organizational tools like an alarm clock, calendar, calculator and a to-do list.

The call quality of the Nokia 2680 is good. User reviews suggest that there were no problems while carrying on conversations and the volume was also loud enough. Some found the sound a bit hollow but they were satisfied with the overall call quality.
The phone features an 860mAh battery with a rated standby time of 17 days and up to 3 hours talk time. Some users talked for more than 4 hours and the battery still had some charge in it. This is really a good battery life for a basic phone.
Snaps taken from the phone’s camera look blurry and the colors look dull. The camera is ok for occasional use but for professional work, you will need to use some other camera.
