A lot of users will agree with me that the Nokia 6300 was a wonderful phone with its elegant looks, light weight useful features and slim design which helped make it a huge hit. It's still is one of my favorites, and I am looking forward to its new avatar, the Nokia 6303 Classic.
Like its predecessor it will be launched in two colors: steel and matt black. The 2.2 inch TFT screen is bright and the displays clear with sharp pictures at a resolution of 240 x 320. Right below the phone screen are the calling keys with a navigational joystick between them. The numeric keypad lies just below the calling keys and it seems to be isolated from the rest of the front panel, presenting a very modular design. The phone is ultra slim and weighs only 96 grams.
There is a 3.5mm headphone jack along with the micro USB connector at the bottom of the phone. At back there is a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with 8x digital zoom and auto focus along with a dual LED flash. The phone will come pre-loaded with a 1 GB microSD card that can be expanded up to 4 GB maximum.
This tri-band GSM phone is based on the S40 6th Edition operating system and has 32 MB internal dynamic memory and 64 MB flash memory. Messaging has a simple and convenient interface and the sending of SMS, MMS and e-mails shoud be a piece of cake much like on the 6300. The phone also supports HTML, XHTML, and WML and has an in-built Nokia browser.
The Nokia 6303 Classic has in-built GPS navigation and is equipped with Nokia Maps that will guide your way when you are lost. The phone can also be synchronized with other devices and computers using Nokia PC suite that is provided with the device package.
As I previously mentioned the phone has a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with auto-focus and 8x digital zoom. The camera is also supported by a dual LED flash that can be used in ON, OFF or automatic mode. The camera supports video recording up to 15 fps and has up to 4x digital zoom. Nokia 6303 Classic is pre-loaded with a FM radio with RDS support, a music player and a video player and supports formats like mp3, mp4, AAC, AAC+, H.263, H.264 etc. it also supports mp3, AAC, 64-tone polyphonic and video ring tones.
The Nokia 6303 Classic has a Li-Ion 1050 mAh battery that boasts of a talk-time of 7 hours and a stand-by-time of 450 hours. Overall, it is modified version of its predecessor and claims to have more function and better features. Let us see if this phone carries on the same legacy or takes it even further than the older versions which became a huge hit with users.
