Jet Fighters is iMob Online with planes. Isn't technology great?

    Godfather Pt. 2

The Godfather has presented us with some of the better, or at least more tolerable, examples of the text based iPhone RPG that has permeated through the gaming annals of the App Store. iMob Online, iVampires Online, Girl Wars Online, and iKnights Online all seem to stand on their own, even if innovation has not been much of their success. Jet Fighters is the newest of this model, and you can expect to find little new. This may not be a bad thing.

    Jet Fighters Friend Codes

Like the rest of them, Jet Fighters is progressive and asks you to work on becoming economically independent throughout. It uses Friend Codes, and this Friend Code system leads to large numbers for those committed to the game. One thing that does stand out is that the friend system by Location is improved in Jet Fighters as opposed to the original iMob Online, which makes it the first practical alternative to Friend Codes. This may even foster community in a way that Friend Codes never seemed to be able to.

    Fly Away

Jet Fighters is recommended here because of the solid foundation that it has. If you are going to play Jet Fighters you can expect constant updates, free honor points, synergy with other games from The Godfather, news and bulletins in surplus, and other things that create a reliable gaming experience. It has some of the benefits of the new iMob Online update, but not as many as I would have liked to have seen. In this way it is more evolved that iVampires or Girl Wars Online but not to the new standard set by the most resent design overhaul of iMob Online. Perhaps The Godfather is planning to release those updates once they have developed new properties and items for each game and Jet Fighters just needs to pay its dues.

On top of this, it has to be noted that Jet Fighters is the first of these games to use this flying theme. In such a closely copied market, this means quite a bit. They could have done more, but it also could have been much worse. Unless you are already playing a number of text-based iPhone RPGs Jet Wars is a good choice. Six out of ten stars.
