I don’t know about you, but for me Tap Tap Revolution is the most solid game ever released for the iPhone. It was the first iPhone game I’ve installed and has been on my iPhone for months now. I still play it when I get the chance. But that’s going to change now with Tap Tap Revenge 2.

For those not in the loop, or those who have not played Tap Tap Revenge 2 on their iPhone, don’t even try thinking hard what this game is all about. I’m pretty sure you’ve played Dance Dance Revolution in the Playstation console. Tap Tap Revenge 2 is akin to DDR only this time you use your fingers instead of your feet, and you tap on the iPhone screen instead of stepping onto the DDR game mat. But basically, their game mechanics are the same.

A series of blobs appear scrolling down the iPhone screen and you have to tap onto their corresponding button to score. The appearance of the blobs or the sequence of your tapping goes along with the beat of the background music. Aside from tapping on the blobs' corresponding button, you may sometimes need to tilt your iPhone forward or sideways when a directional arrow scrolls down instead of the circular blobs.

What’s New in Tap Tap Revenge 2?
Rating Good

There are many new features introduced in the Tap Tap Revenge 2. Aside from new songs, which currently totals to around 150 tracks which you can freely download after installing the app, Tap Tap Revenge 2 has also extended its gameplay by including a challenge system among you and your friends.

Another notable new feature is the Kid’s Mode. It’s simply a toned down version of the other game levels to make it more playable for kids. Well that is of course if you will let your kids use your iPhone, or you actually gave your kids their own iPhones.

Tap Tap Revenge 2 has also included a two new moves – “tap and hold” and multitap. You'll know how to execute these new moves once you player the game. And you’ll get along with these new moves as you play the game over and over again.

Finally, the game also sports a new look – sleeker and more exciting than the original Tap Tap Revolution game.

Our Verdict
Rating Good

Tap Tap Revenge 2 is my all time favorite iPhone game. It’s fun, entertaining and definitely a well-developed game for the iPhone. It’s a free app as well, so I don’t really see any reason why you shouldn’t download it. By all means have Tap Tap Revenge 2 installed on your iPhone, you will surely have a great time playing it. Just be prepared to get soared thumbs though.
