Using Friend Codes in Race or Die

Race or Die acts as The Godfather's successful foray into racing themed free MMO text-based iPhone RPGs, and they have revamped the design to really stand out against the competition. For those familiar with other titles from The Godfather, such as iMob Online or iVampires Online, you are going to find the Race or Die Friend Code system familiar to a degree. Here is a guide to, and some tips for, adding friends to your Race or Die account.

When you open up Race or Die, go to the far right Invite button on the lower task bar, which is to the right of Blacklist. The Race or Die Invite menu has all the different things you can do to add friends to your Race or Die account, as well as a place to redeem your cheat codes. At the top will be Pending. Select this to see all the "pending" friend requests you have. There will usually be a number on the Pending line before you open it indicating how many requests there are for you to accept.

Directly below Pending is Location, and here Race or Die uses GPS and triangulation to find other Race or Die players in your area. Then it presents a list of these Race or Die players and you can select them to send a friend request. There is a limit to how many you can do in a day and it is likely that your area does not have a massive volume of Race or Die players.

The best way to add friends in Race or Die is with the Race or Die Friend Code system. Below Location you will see Friend Code, and when you select it you are going to get a two fold interface. At the top, you are going to see your Race or Die Friend Code listed, and below that you will have an area to enter another player's Race or Die Friend Code so that you can send them a directed friend request.

The best way to approach this is to spread your Race or Die Friend Code around as much as possible, making it available to everyone. Then people will begin to add you using your Race or Die Friend Code, and you can look to online forums and social networking websites to find and enter other people's Race or Die Friend Codes as well. Be as liberal as you can with your Race or Die Friend Code and find as many other Friend Codes as possible. You do not want to be overly discreet with who you add to your Race or Die account. The next option in the Invite menu is not one that is normally used for adding friends. Directly below Friend Code is going to be Redeem, where you go to redeem Race or Die cheat code. These Race or Die cheat codes are often given as promotional offers so that you can get things like free weapons. The Race or Die cheat codes are handed out in different ways, but often times using the App Store or the Race or Die Twitter account. This is part of the reason that they try to get you to connect with the Race or Die Twitter account right from the beginning.
