Nimbuzz is an "all-in-one" multiple messaging tool that allows Android users to connect to various IM programs at one time. These options include Skype, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Google Talk and various others. The program is touchscreen friendly and offers a sleek interface that makes using the program a simply and effective process.
The Nimbuzz application also provides time-sensitive user interface options, such as how long a user presses on a contact in order to bring up different screens and includes profile viewing and various other bits of information.
The NimBuzz interface is extremely simple to use and "familiar" when compared to other instant messaging applications. For example once you've logged into your accounts, yes you can log into multiple accounts at one time, your friends list will be populated. This friends list includes your friends avatars, their names and their online status (away, available) and their away messages. The program also shows what IM program people on your list are using.
By "long pressing" on a user you'll then be taken to the chat screen, it's important that you realize that a "Long" touch is needed as a short tap actually brings up the users profile screen. I liked this option as it meant less button pressing on my devices keyboard when navigating through screens.
The actual chat window is clean and familiar, featuring user avatars, a time stamp (no date) with messages and simple fonts that are easy to read. Users just type in their message and click on the on-screen send button or click on the smiley face to add emoticons.
During chats you may find the need to enter in URLs or look at URLs sent to you by friends, one of the nicest features of Nimbuzz is the clickable URL option which turns all web addresses into a clickable link which opens via the Android browser.
The program also offers "auto-reconnect" this is a great function for data users, the program auto connects you to your WiFi network then if you are out of range it auto connects you to 3G and other data networks. Come back into WiFi range and you'll once again connect to WiFi, no longer are you stuck constantly checking whether or not your IM program is operating properly.
Finally and most important is the homescreen notification system, this option notified me of each and every incoming chat I received while the program was running in the background of my device, ensuring I never missed any important chats.
You can download Nimbuzz For Google Android by clicking here. The program is very intuitive, operates better than any other Android application I've seen to date and takes full advantage of touchscreen capabilities which separates it from the rest of the pack.
If you're addicting to various or even just one instant messaging application I highly recommend you give Nimbuzz a try, you won't be disappointed.
