The top level search screen offers your main areas of navigation. From this point I could choose the "Search Using A Photo" option, this is where I was able to take a photo of a famous pieces of artwork and then allow the program to search its database to find that work of art. Surprisingly it only take about 10 seconds for results to be returned using . The next option is your standard "Search By Artist Or Title" option which involves typing in your search, while "search history, Saved Favorites, explore art times and recommend a gallery" options are also available.

Once on an artwork page it became very simple to navigate the page. For example the piece of art is displayed, the year it was created is shown, the artist and type of paints are also discoverable and so is written information from Wikipedia. Users can also use the "Star" button at the top of the page to save works of art to their "Favorites" option which can then be called from the home screen.

Once I investigated a few pieces of artwork I then accessed the comment system which features a simple commenting tool where I could type in my answers and view all other comments shown on the system. Comments are also timestamped with the most recent comments displaying at the top of the page, you can even have your name associated with your comments, a great option for anyone who wants to be recognized in the Plink community.

Plink Art for Android also offers a very nice timeline feature. This is a great option if you need to study for an art class or if you want to experience paintings only from certain periods that you like such as New Realism, Surrealism, Fauvism or any of the other "ism's" and other periods.

I first started by examining the timeline and choosing the period I wanted to investigate:

Then after choosing the timeline I had to choose the artist I wanted to look at works for:

Once I found an artist to examine works for my final option was to examine other works by the same artist, other works in their genre of painting and even works created in the same location as the current artist:

Conclusion

I love art from a variety of periods and I highly recommend that other art lovers download Plink Art and give it a try. The program is streamlined for very simple user access thanks to an intuitive interface, while the number of works featured can't be rivaled by any other Mobile art program I've found across various mobile platforms.

Give it a try and you won't turn back.
