About to eat at Taco Bell or make a purchase at your local Target. There may be coupons you were unaware of, now with My Coupons you can pull up those coupons and at many locations show them to the cashier to save instantly. Other coupons can be printed to your printer right from your Android phone.

Introduction

My Coupons is a great way to find local restuarants and stores that are offering specials you may not have found on your own. In some cases you need to print the coupon from your phone and present it at the time of checkout, in many cases you simply pull up the coupon on your device and show it to the cashier. The program is simple to use and continues to grow out the number of offers available.

Overall Use
Rating Good

The interface for My Coupons is simple, the main screen shows the current days date and shows coupons available for national chains. The app shows three available deals on the main screen, however hitting the "Show ALL Coupons" icon will display various other specials.

My Coupons - Main Screen

As you'll notice the info is pretty basic, typically the screen just shows the store for the coupon, the deal and when it expires. Just click on the link for the deal and you'll see the coupon. Most of these offers can be accessed just by showing the cashier the coupon on your phone, however read the fine print as you may need to print the coupon on your computer to utilize it. Thankfully there's an included "Email" icon where you can send yourself the coupon, print it off on your home printer and take it with you.

The program also allows users to "Sort by date" so you find the most recent coupons first, a handy sort option if you search the application everyday and you only want to browse the most recent coupons.

Once you click on a coupon link the actual coupon is displayed. In some cases you just need to show the coupon and you're good to go, in other cases a barcode may be displayed, if there is a barcode you just let the cashier scan your screen with their barcode scanner and you get the deal.

Another option is the ability to utilize Google Maps to find the location for the coupon, just click on the map link and the program will display where the location for the coupon is located and the address for the location. If available you'll also receive a phone number you can click to dial. Just follow the map directions and you'll be at the location in no time at all.

Conclusion

I gave My Coupons a 4/5, not because it doesn't work as good as other apps available for Android, but rather because of what it could offer. I would love to see a more robust search option that gets rid of locations not in my area, alongside more coupons that aren't just for fast food chains, perhaps as the program grows in popularity more options will arise.

Update: Upon reinstalling the application the search function appeared, although not as advanced I would like, it still does push up my ranking to 4/5 from a previous high of 3/5.

Overall a nice little application that can be downloaded with a $.99 subscription. If you're typically looking for somewhere to eat on the cheap, sometimes even free, this is a great way to take your chances and eat wherever deals are being offered.

A very simplistic application that can save you money when the right deals come about. $.99 is a cheap price to pay considering one coupon couple more than save you that amount of money, but for my taste the application is just too simplistic in use.
