Protecting your Google Android Phone should be a top priority, especially considering the number of recent security breaches announced all over the news. The first virus protection for Android is SMobile VirusGuard, and at $19.99 its a great way to protect against many different virus types.

SMobile VirusGuard for Android
Overall Protection AbilitiesGood

SMobile VirusGuard obviously requires the Google Android Mobile Operating System as well as a $19.99 one-time use fee.

In terms of memory usage the program uses a paltry 49KB Installed and downloads directly to your Android device in under 2 seconds.

Because it constantly scans your device you'll want to download the app directly to your mobile device for best practice.

Overall the requirements are simple and the workload on your device is nearly zero which means you run all of your apps with very little system slowdown.

Overall Protection AbilitiesRating Good

I couldn't give SMobile VirusGuard a perfect rating, simply for the fact that their was nothing to compare it to, SMobile is the first Android

App to offer security features that protect your Android device against over 400 types of viruses.

I particularly liked that the application focuses on viruses, worms and trojans, the main types of mobile hacks. The program also supports protection for Malware programs which can allow their programmers to gather personal information without the user realizing their information is being stolen.

The program can work much like Mobile virus scan programs do be either scanning files as they come in to your device or memory card, or by having the user select to scan their memory cards or entire Google Android devices.

The application also allows users to have their mobile internet browsing monitored, including protection against incoming downloaded files and malicious sites that oftentimes install spyware and malware that can lend themselves to stealing personal information.

Aside from protecting users from over 400 types of attacks the program is also fully updateable, and the company promises to add new protections as new malware becomes available. If you're device suffers an attack that information

is also reported to SMobile and once a new virus signature update file is released you can quickly update your devices protection to delete the infected files.

Overall the SMobile Android App allows for competent protection of your Google Android device and a quick turn around time for Malware issues as they arrive.
