Example Source Code to Help Develop a Location-Based Social Network on Android

Hi, I am a beginner to Android and was looking for source code to help me develop an application for location-based social networking. I enjoyed the series about working with Android source code but was wondering if anyone knew of a site that had sample source code to help me work with location tracking.
