Next time you're browsing a website on your Blackberry and you want to save some text or links from a website, use NoteThis and save some time in the process.

Introduction

There are times when we want to save some information from a website. Usually that means copying the desired text, exiting the mobile browser and then pasting it on to the Memo tool. However with the NoteThis application, you can eliminate most of these steps, as the program is capable of recording text and then exporting it to the BlackBerry memo. With the NoteThis app you can add text and links from web pages, export the saved information to the BlackBerry Memo tool and if you choose further send that information to your phones memory card.

On downloading and installing the application, I went to my d ownloads folder, there I was greeted by two options; “Default Title” and “Add address to Note." The first time I accessed the application I was a little confused on how to use it, as the interface is extremely basic and didn’t even have a help option. Perhaps because I was running a trial, I had to make do with a basic version.

I decided to visit my Facebook profile on my mobile browser; there I selected a photo URL. Then when I clicked on the options button, I got the usually Browser options in addition to the NoteThis option.

I clicked on the NoteThis option and a pop-up screen appeared on my device. There I came across a “Title” option where I entered “FB Pic Link” and a “Constant” option where I was able to enter the URL. I proceeded to click “OK” and that was all I had to do, it really couldn't have been more simple.

When I accessed the Memo tool on my BlackBerry, I came across the saved note and was happy to see that it had all the information I had saved. I then clicked on the NoteThis "Export" option. As promised, the note was exported to my memory card without any hassles.

Verdict

The NoteThis Blackberry program worked like it claimed on my device and didn’t hog any resources on my Blackberry Bold.

There is no denying that the NoteThis application is extremely handy and makes mobile browsing a more intuitive experience. However this application is not for everyone (such as light mobile browser users) and for $6.90, only hard-core mobile browser users should contemplate buying it.
