BlackBerry users can now send Call Logs, texts, Emails, and even PIN messages to other native applications courtesy of SendX.

Introduction

Sometimes the simplest of applications are the most handiest as they provide the utmost functionality. SendX v1.0 by Twinkler Software is one such application as it lets the BlackBerry user send call logs and all sorts of incoming messages like Email, Texts and PIN messages to other native Blackberry Applications.

This means that you get to save a lot of time and be more organized. In fact SendX also lets one send Events to the Task Manager and Tasks to the Calendar and thus all this synchronization makes me one happy camper.

Here is quick look at the feature set:

  • To create Events, user can send Call Logs to their Calendar
  • To create tasks, users can send Call Log to the Tasks Manager
  • To create a memo, users can send Call Logs to the Memopad App
  • Send Call Logs to number lookup engine to change search number information.
  • To create events send SMS/Email/PIN Messages to Your devices Calendar
  • To create memos, send SMS/Email/PIN Messages to Memopad
  • Send event to Tasks to create new tasks

Overall Usage
Rating Good

As soon as you download the application, and give it the required permissions, it integrates flawlessly with the Blackberry OS. I experienced no glitches at all and hence proceeded to test it out.

I opened an old email, and clicked on the “Send to” option, which in turn gave me the following choices: “Address Book”, “ Calendar”, “Tasks” and “Memopad”.

Upon selecting the first option, I was asked to save the email address as either a new contact or an existing contact. Quite nifty I might add.

Making use of the same email, I then selected the “Calendar” and “Tasks” options. Since the email was old, the appointment was made with the warning that the “appointment occurs in past”.

The Task and the Memo pad option however saved the email header as the title and worked without any bugs. At this point, I was impressed with the speed of SendX as an application.

The Call log also worked similarly and I loved how quickly I could send unsaved numbers to my address book.

The “ number look up “ option took me to Google in a few seconds and I also found this option extremely useful.

In a nutshell, SendX makes an already great device more functional. It’s a simple application without many bells and whistles but that’s where its strength lies.

The interface is quite fast, the price just right ($2.99) and the functionality of the application is spot on. Hence I recommend this application and those interested can download the trial here.
