BugMe! Notes and Alarms v1.0.3 by Electric Pocket doesn’t really bug you as the name suggests and may just become your new best friend. The application lets you note all your errands, to-do list, etc. and set them as reminders, now you no longer need to use the “I forgot” excuse!
Most of us live a frenzied lives and it’s hard to keep track of our various commitments. That’s why for many of us, our personal mobile devices our a godsend and life without them is completely unimaginable. The BlackBerry as device in itself takes care of our needs but at times you need something extra than the standard reminder feature on your smartphone. The BugMe (yeah I know it's a quirky name) application lets you take notes and them set them up as reminders easily. Jotting down notes and errands with this program is not only convenient but also also a great way to receive periodical pop up alerts.
The fact that I wasn’t asked to reboot the system after installing the application made me deliriously happy (yes I am strange). The application is quick and simple and you can figure out it in a few seconds.
On opening the application, you get the “Make A New Note Option”. On selecting it, I typed my note and gave it a title.
Then comes the option of setting the alarm where you can select the preloaded options like “fifteen minutes”, “mornings”, and “one hour” or even customize your own alarm.
The application worked like it said and I got my reminders at the time I set them for without any glitches. Once the reminder kicks in you get selectable options like “Okay”, “View” or “Snooze”.
Another nifty thing about this application is that the notes can be shared via SMS text or email. I also liked the option of storing my notes in the Calendar and the Task Manager.
The application also comes with a search tool, which I found quite decent. I was able to sift through my notes by certain keywords, which saved me a precious few minutes.
BugMe! is a thoughtful little application that takes care of something as simple as reminders. What works in its favor is its fast and simple interface and its $2.99 price tag. Personally I experienced no bugs (pun intended) while running the application on my Blackberry Bold and I appreciated its seamless integration with my BB OS. I recommend this application as it gets the job done without burning a whole in your pocket.
