Beyond160 doesn't stop the 160 character limit per text message (that's a number imposed by many carriers, especially in the U.S.), instead the program finds a clever work around, as users type over that limit the program breaks up the messages into 160 character and less SMS and then send them in parts. Users can then see part 1/3, 2/3, 3/3, etc. for each message they find.

To begin using Beyond160 users simply type in a message via the standard SMS field, once their device reads "Field Full" they just click on the "options" button and then the program launches the Beyond160 screen. Really this is a no thrills application, the screen is just a standard text field with the number of "page numbers" displayed at the top, such as 77 / 2 messages.
Once you finish your message and press the "Send" option the program then shows ALL of the SMS messages that were sent for that message. For example, if the program breaks your message into three parts you'll see part 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3 in your send messages screen, all displayed with the same time stamp.
I personally liked that multiple messages (to different users) displayed all on the same screen in a simple to read manner.
Obviously, given the number of text messages that could be sent using the application you'll want to keep track of your overall message totals if you're not using an unlimited text plan, outside of that concern however the program is fully integrated with your standard text program for ease of use.
Beyond160 makes sending high limit text messages extremely simple. The program integrates perfectly with the Blackberry built-in text application and the output screen for finding your sent SMS messages is also simple to read.
Overall a great application that's available for $6.99 from the Blackberry App World. A price I was gladly willing to pay in order to avoid the hassles of creating multiple text messages over and over again, sometimes in the middle of my thoughts.
Give Beyond160 a try today, if you're a big text message user you won't be disappointed.
