I-Play Bowling is a simple game with great graphics. With many mobile bowling games you simply choose a player and then start bowling, however I-Play also allows you to create your own customized player and then offers excellent gameplay with simple controls and great graphics that really spice up the overall appearance.

When first launching the game I immediately setup my own character. It was a simple process that allowed me to choose my players body type, face type, mouth, hair, eyebrows, eyes and even the ball you use. The setup process for each character is simple and quick, even when using a non-touchscreen device.

i-Play has also made controlling your bowling ball simple, just aim your ball using your phones controls, choose your balls spin level and then press to power up and press again when your power streagth bar is at the level you choose. The ball then releases and travels down the lane. You'll notice during this process the excellent graphics with nice shading and simple to see available pins.
I also liked that my last two frames were displayed, along with my current score and even the pins still standing in case I can't see a pin behind another pin.
The game even shows a replay of your shots, thanksfully you can skip these replays for faster gameplay by pressing the "5" key.
The game also allows you to enter your own created avatar in tournaments against other AI players, each of which uses their own crazy bowling styles and offers their own levels of competiveness. Through tournaments you can even win trophies for your players trophy case and unlock goofy little surprises along the way.
The i-Play Bowling game isn't overly complex, however the ability to create avatars and play in tournaments against various types of AI players makes this game worth the $4.99 download from Blackberry App World.
If you love to bowl or if you even just appreciate a good bowling game you should really enjoy i-Play Bowling.
