I'm a big fan of "family friendly" games, mostly because they can be played by everyone and because their appropriate for gameplay just about anywhere. Tumblebugs is one of the best, most colorful games I'm experiences to date for family play. The game is not only well put together, it offers plenty of gameplay with 78 addictive levels that all offer their own vibrant themes.

The controls on Tumblebugs couldn't be any easier, just point your bug at the various colored balls and shoot. Once you line up three balls of the same color their eliminated. Stop all of the colored balls before any of them reach the whole at the end of the track and you get to move onto the next level.
Here's a screenshot so you can get an idea of the gameplay.
As you can see the bug is placed slightly back from the pieces and in the current mode you just "eye" where the balls need to be shot. For less experienced players the game also offers a "line of sight" or "cheat" option which will show exactly where each of your balls will end up when shot.
Also notice how the background has changed for the new level, which keeps the game fresh as I mentioned earlier. I also enjoyed how the balls all curve in different patterns for each level, this means you have to come up with different strategies for attacking each level. You'll also notice the levels moving faster as they increase in difficulty.
The game also offers special "bonus" pieces which users can take advantage of in order to destroy more of the game board at one time. One of my favorite pieces is the "color burst" which destroys all of the same colors within the range by simply firing it.
With crisp and clean graphics, simple family friendly gameplay and a cheap price of $4.99 for 78 levels of unique gameplay I would highly recommend Tumblebugs for anyone who enjoys strategy/shooter games.
The game isn't the most advanced offering I've found but it is a game where I can play the same levels over and over again and never get board. This one is definitely worth the Blackberry App World download.
