Mobfolio is a free BlackBerry app that brings the facts, figures, indices and rates of the world stock markets to your mobile phone.
Track Your Stocks On Your BlackBerry
If you're a frequent traveller or meeting room dweller, often away from your PC and requiring instant information on your investments performance, then Mobfolio - as the name suggests - is a BlackBerry application that should be perfect for you.
Giving you control of the market indices and tracking of your favorite stocks from your mobile cell phone, Mobfolio features scrollable quote tables and lists market data from each of the major stock exchanges worldwide.
Mobfolio is also a free application, a small download and easy to use - perfect for displaying all the required updates on your BlackBerry while you're not at your desk!
Device Requirements And Using Mobfolio
Installation of Mobfolio can only be achieved Over the Air via mobfolio.krilian.com. This is a relatively quick download and the subsequent installation completes quickly.
Utilizing under 60 KB of space on your BlackBerry, Mobfolio should run on any version of the BlackBerry OS and on any device.
The app naturally acquires the stocks and shares information via your BlackBerry's internet or network connection. As such it should only be used regularly on phones with a generous dataplan in order to avoid hefty bills from your provider.
Once launched, Mobfolio will display the primary watchlist - this can be altered by choosing a different menu option, such as viewing UK markets, indices or currencies. The software also features portfolio management, and the data can be refreshed manually whenever required.

| Interest In The Markets | Rating |
I don't have any stocks or shares, and very little interest in the markets - but Mobfolio certainly intrigued me for long enough to have a play around with the app to see how it works and what information it displays.
It does everything it is supposed to - lists stocks and changes in indices, etc - and probably features a lot more than you would expect. For instance the watchlists include not just the usual big names from Wall Street and the London Stock Exchange but also a selection of European stocks and US dollar currency exchanges.
As such Mobfolio should be an absolute shoe-in for anyone with an interest in the markets, a BlackBerry and only occasional contact with their PC.
