Blackberry Cellular Devices are good for more than just email and web browsing, they can actually provide some pretty impressive Social Networking Applications via some easy to install mobile applications. In this article I'll showcase the three best Blackberry Apps: Facebook, Myspace and Flicker.

1. Facebook For Blackberry Cellular Devices

With the Blackberry Facebook Application users can easily stay connected to their facebook account and the account of all their listed friends. Best of all users can stay connected for free.

Blackberry Facebook Features

1. Users can receive home screen notifications, for instance you'll be notified on your Blackberry home screen when a user posts a message on your wall, sends you a message to your personal inbox, or even when they poke you.

2. Added Full Post Features - With Blackberry Facebook you can read the entire wall post from your device, you can also see photo tag notes from friends accounts and even accept or deny new friend requests. On the opposite side you can send messages to friends, write them wall posts, invite new friends to join your network and even poke people.

3. Update Your Facebook Status - Want to let your friends know what your doing, or do you want to find out what your friends are up to, with this Blackberry Facebook App you can do both with up to the second updates and updating capabilities.

4. Contact Database Access - Facebook for Blackberry will even let you know see all of your contacts and their information, adding a whole new level of connectivity for your phone calls, email contacts, etc.

5. One Click Photo Posting - Literally take a picture on your Blackberry, access your Facebook account from your phone and with one click post your photo to your Facebook account. You can even tag your friends in the photos you upload as an added bonus.

Aside from all of these great features you'll receive a look your familiar with, the application literally gives you a feel very similar to the Facebook account your use to seeing on your desktop, of course its optimized for Blackberry use. If you like to stay connected on the go this is a great option.

2. Myspace For Blackberry Cellular Devices

Myspace may lag behind Facebook when it comes to user related plugins, but in the case of the Myspace Application its on par with the Blackberry Facebook application. From instant notifications to easy one click uploads, the Myspace software addition shouldn't be overlooked.

Blackberry Myspace Features:

1. Message Management: Users can easily send messages to their friends mailbox, while also checking the full messages found in their own Myspace account.

2. Easy Access: Users of the Myspace Blackberry App can also view their full friends list and when doing so view the status of each of their friends based on the messages they have left up on their Myspace accounts.

3. Notifications - Users can reveive automatic notifcations when they receive new messages in their inbox and when comments are posted on their Myspace page.

4. One Click Uploads - Just like the Facebook App users can take pictures direction from their Blackberry Devices and then with one click upload the pictures to their Myspace photo sections.

5. View Photos - Aside from one click photo access users can also view their friends photos and photo albums on the fly

6. Update your Status and Mood - Even when your on the go you can constantly let your friends know what your mood is and what status you have such as available or unavailable.

While not on the same level as the Facebook Blackberry Application, the Myspace apps is still a very capable application that allows users to post and receive posts from friends. For a quick Myspace fix this is a great option, but for more interactivity i'd suggest looking into the Facebook App.

3. Flickr For Blackberry Cellular Devices

Flickr is the world's largest photo sharing social network, and with your Blackberry device by your side accessing and using the Flickr network is simple and will let you stay connected while updating your own Flickr pages on the fly.

Blackberry Flickr Features:

1. Easy Photo Uploads - With this Flickr App users can easily take a picture, find the photoset they want to upload it to and use a one click upload option, its really that simple.

2. Photo Tagging - If you've used Flickr you know that you can tag your friends and even their Flickr profiles to your personal photos, with the Blackberry App that feature is also available.

3. Photo Resizing - Have a picture that's too big or too small, with Blackberry Flickr resizing photos is a simple process that can be done in seconds.

4. GeoTag Pictures - If your Blackberry Device has GPS capabilities you can easily place a tag on your photo's that will allow users to see exactly where the photo's were taken. Its also a great way to create yourself a map of your picture taking endevours during a vacation, while accessing that information later from your account.

Of the three social networking Blackberry Apps i've shown you this is the easiest to use, and the least complex, however for users who want to keep their devices memory usage down its a great way to upload your photos and then remove them from your devices, its also a great way to show off your vacation and other photos without simply forgetting to post them at a later time thanks to the one click photo post options.

Conclusion

Whether your a Facebook, Myspace or Flickr fanatic one thing is for sure, each of the Blackberry Social Networking Apps listed above offer different levels of connectivity. Personally I find the Facebook Application to be the most advanced option, while Myspace is great for quick updates and simplistic friends list browsing. Of course for photo fanatics Flickr is still a very competent option that shouldn't be overlooked.
