White House Rumble Review: A Boxing Game with Hilarious Characters for BlackBerry

White House Rumble is an entertaining and witty boxing game with political cartoon characters involved in a bout against each other to win the White House. So, if you really want to bash a politician you dislike, here is your only (legal) chance.

Overview, Installation, and Main Features

White House Rumble is one of most hilarious boxing games with state of art graphics and animations that make you laugh all the way. You don't need to sign up as a candidate to conquer the White House because this game allows you to fight your way through the political ranks, beating and punching your favorite politicians on the way. While you land punches on your competitors, your power meter goes up, giving you more life and force to blow punches before you make for the knockout. The scenario is so funny that it will be hard for you to take your eyes off the game.

Game Interface

You will easily recognize cartoon characters of Bush, Chenny, Hillary, Obama, Clinton, Rudy, and many other political figures fighting for the top position. This game has three modes of play: namely, circuit, versus, and challenge. The circuit mode has three campaign levels and each level becomes more difficult to qualify than the initial one. Controls are simple to use but it would have been much better if it included an option to customize the user controls. Each character inherits his own fighting style and also has a weakness that differentiates him from others.

White House Rumble can be purchased from the official website of GLU Mobile Inc for $9.99. A trial version is also available if you want to try the software before buying it. It will take only a few seconds to download the setup file on your desktop PC or your BlackBerry. You can use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager to install the application if your device is connected to your desktop PC via a USB cable. Or, you can start the browser of your BlackBerry and go to company's website to download and install the application.

After you have finished installing the application, you can run the game by going to the main menu of your BlackBerry. You will be disappointed to know that there is no multiplayer mode available and that you get to play only against the software. The game has very fine graphics and extremely good game play. I am not much of a boxing fan, but I still wholeheartedly enjoyed the interface and animation. All the cartoon characters are so humorous that it will bring a smile to your face once in a while.

Finally, this game is compatible with all BlackBerry models having a colored display.

Final Verdict

I must admit that I enjoyed this game very much, not because I like boxing that much but because of the fact that you don't see your favorite politicians throwing punches at each other every day. The controls are easy to manage, and the animation is eye-catching, but the cartoons really steal the show because they are quite witty, and you will recognize every character in the second. White House Rumble is a game that is worth giving a try, and I will recommend it to all my readers.
