There are several Excel for BlackBerry apps that let you open, edit, and create Excel spreadsheets. Documents To Go is a BlackBerry Excel app that incorporates Excel on BlackBerry. Other Excel apps for BlackBerry include eCell, GridMagic, Excel Formulas, and eOffice 4.6.

Create full size spreadsheets on your BlackBerry device with eCell. The largest spreadsheet can accommodate up to 65,536 rows and 256 columns. eCell is compatible with Microsoft Excel. With Excel on BlackBerry, you can view and edit Excel files, add or edit formulas, create graphs and charts, and download Google Spreadsheet. Use the trackball to move the cursor while navigating through the application. The interface contains a toolbar populated with shortcuts, or if you prefer a full screen, minimize the toolbar. GridMagic is another app that brings Excel for BlackBerry. Work on your Excel spreadsheets anywhere by syncing your BlackBerry device with the desktop. Each workbook within the app can accommodate multiple sheets and each spreadsheet can contain up to 65,536 rows and 256 columns. With Excel on BlackBerry, you can format cells and texts, change alignments, borders, and colors, and preview the finished file. A great app designed to improve the experience of Excel for BlackBerry is Excel Formulas. This app contains basic formulas for Excel. Learn how to average values between two numbers, average the highest N numbers in a range, average the lowest N numbers in a range, and add and subtract dates and times. The app contains two categories: Excel formulas and Excel functions. Some of the functions in the app include string functions, information functions, statistical functions, logical functions, and mathematical functions. The eOffice 4.6 app is designed to edit, view, create, and share Microsoft Office files, including Microsoft Excel speadsheets. The app recognizes a variety of files types including .doc, .xls, .xlsx, and .ppt. It also supports PDF files, faxes, and images. By using the virtual network drive, all the documents are accessible from the BlackBerry device. You can save Excel files in their native format to an SD card, transfer to desktop via USB, or e-mail the files. The eOffice 4.6 app is available at BlackBerry App World for $14.99.

Documents To Go
Like eOffice, Documents To Go supports various Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, on the BlackBerry device. The Excel portion of the app is named Sheets to Go. It is compatible with Excel 97-2010 for Windows and Excel 98-2008 for Mac. The app features e-mail integration, which is used to open attachments, and shortcuts for SureType and Qwerty.
