About Me
I was born in the United States but have lived in a suitcase ever since! My dad is Italian American, my mother's Scottish, and I grew up in El Salvador. I have been exposed to many different cultures and it has made me who I am today. It would be difficult to summarize who I am, but suffice to say I am a writer, a translator, a Managing Editor and a world traveller. My happiest moments are when I have opportunities where I can serve humanity and make this world a better place. I am very focused on creating development projects and working towards the betterment of society with the Bahai community and other organizations. My varied work and life experience has given me a unique perspective, and I am always game to try new things.
I started my teaching career quite early by working on ESL on the weekends for my father´s English Institute in El Salvador. My parents were both teachers and instilled in me a love of teaching. I taught children in rural areas in Latin America and the United States throughout my teen years. Education is truly in my blood. I became passionately involved in creating writing workshops for the radio in indigenous populations in Ecuador, Illinois and Oxford. In addition to this, I have also worked as a simultaneous translator for live broadcasts, documentaries and conferences throughout the years. I had an exciting year of service working in an indigenous Bahai Radio in Ecuador producing and writing radio scripts geared towards health education and junior youth empowerment programs. I have worked in television with telethons, trained and worked as a marketing consultant, copywriter, and been actively involved in tutoring and after school programs for special needs students. My teaching experience ranges in special education programs, English Literature, History, graphic design, eighth and seventh grade, and university level writing workshops in various schools around the world. All of this experience have granted a unique educational outlook to create opportunities for a well rounded educational community that meets the needs of a varied population. Above all, it is essential to point out that the education hub is all about creating a network of teachers, writers and students, who are working together to create a global education community. Our goal is to continously grow and learn throughout the process of reaching the classrooms and educators in the United States and abroad.
I am very focused on creating development projects and working towards the betterment of society with the Bahai community and other organizations.
