Venkatraman (Venkat, for short) has over 30 years of rich experience in the industry covering strategic and operational responsibilities with a variety of organizations. His exposure spans a wide range of domains and industries including planning and implementation of Enterprise Solutions for the manufacturing industry, solutions for the Banking and Financial Services industry and several vertical segments.
He founded Ravel Technologies in 2002, with focus in the areas of Strategic consulting for large enterprises, as well as start-ups. During these years, he has overseen diversification initiatives for several private companies, foraying into IT – both international as well as domestic set-ups. He has also been closely associated with some of the leading B-Schools and academic institutions, where, besides participating as visiting faculty, he has also been involved in advising them on strategic planning activities, curriculum planning and design, and Case Research initiatives.
Venkat has written on sevral subjects related to Management and Technology in different Journals and magazines. He is on the Editorial Board of two leading Management Journals in India, and has been on the peer review committes for evaluation of papers submitted at various forums including PMI.
Venkat’s interests also include projects involving application of Optimization techniques to a variety of functional areas including Logistics, Supply Chain Management Market Planning, Financial Planning Human Resources etc.. He is also an avid exponent of the benefits of KM and Balanced Scorecard in present-day enterprises.
As part of business development and strategic alliances, Venkat has undertaken extensive international travel to countries like USA, UK, Netherlands, Singapore, Israel and the Middle East.
Venkat is an Engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT, Bombay) and an MBA rank-holder from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM, Ahemedabad)
