About Me

Tracey Bleakley received a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Texas at Austin. She spent four years in the Mesquite ISD, where she taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade. While in Mesquite she received extensive training in balanced literacy, writing and working with gifted children. She also served as a team leader and as the gifted and talented liaison on her campus.

She spent the next five years working for Austin ISD as a first grade teacher. Besides teaching first grade, she worked with dyslexia students and was one of several dyslexia screeners on her campus.

Currently, Tracey is taking a break from teaching to stay home with her three children, ages 4, 2 and 9 months. During this time she has worked as a freelance writer and tutor for struggling students.
