About Me
I am a young retiree, after 30 years as a probation officer for the state of Colorado. I currently live in southern Minnesota, where I was grew up. My elderly mother lives on the same property, and I am blessed to have horses, goats, cats, dogs and 2 donkeys. We live in a beautiful area with lots of pasture, oak tree covered hills, a creek running through and several hundred acres of farmland too. My companion/friend works full time, and I work part time as a community bus driver to supplement my retirement income and ensure our animals are well cared for and kept in good health.
I have been a sports enthusiast since I was in elementary school. Good physical health and the use of alternative medical practices for both me and my animals continue to be very important in our household.
Fortunately, I had excellent teachers as a youngster. I learned to write reasonably well, and used the written word extensively in my work as a probation officer. As a result, I write for a hobby when I have time and something interests me. It's important to note that I have no interest in making a living as a writer. I have contributed more than 300 articles to Associated Content since February 2007, and continue to submit articles there once a month or so.
My areas of interest include unorthodox Christianity, the love and care of animals, sports/athletics, exercise, health and fitness, and alternative and holistic medical practices.
