Sarah posseses a Bachelors in Arts in Music Educaton and a Masters in Education with concentrations in Educational Technology and Curriculum and Instruction. Sarah has teaching experience in all grade levels as she is certified to teach Music to students in grades K-12 in New York State. Sarah considers herself to be a creative professional with strong communication skills and adapts well to new environments and situations.

Sarah has always taken an interest in writing as she won several writing contests as a child. Her educational role has now led her to freelance writing for a teacher audience in order to provide her readers with useful teaching resources and information.

Sarah's current writing has led her in becoming a Contributing Editor at BrightHub, Inc. where she has gained quite a bit of valuable knowledge in SEO and Internet research. Sarah prides herself on providing the best information for her and her writers' readership.

In her personal life, Sarah has two young children and enjoys spending time with them, providing a quality learning experience whenever possible to prepare them for outside world experiences. My Experience

Sarah has taught six years of public music education, including teaching general music, vocal/instrumental and group lessons as well as ten years of private instruction. She is proficient in directing chorus and band sections, as well as facilitating and directing special events such as concerts, musicals and church choirs.

Sarah has developed the curriculum for a brand new Music program for one of her previous employers and has worked on curriculum committees in two public school districts. In addition, she has acted as Department Chair for two of her previous school districts.

Throughout her teaching and writing/editing career, Sarah has been able to establish a strong rapport with students of varying abilities and age levels, as well as with other staff, parents,readers and writers.

In addition to her former role as teacher, she has been a Writer at Bright Hub since 2008 and a Contributing Editor since 2009.
