Jennifer Wingard is a work at home mom living in Virginia Beach, Va. As a wife of one, homeschooling mom of four, small business owner, freelancer, and habitual student, she is never without something to keep her occupied.
Jennifer's interests lie in web and graphic design, blogging, and writing fiction. She has recently begun to write non-fiction both here at Bright Hub and in her personal projects and ventures.
Jennifer has gained her experience in her contributing topics through personal experience. She has been dabbling in web design since 2005 and is currently studying web development and working toward an Adobe Certified Expert certification in PhotoShop.
Running her own small web hosting and consulting business, Crimson Tangle, has given Jennifer valuable, hands-on experience with small business finance and accounting as well as increasing her knowledge of personal finance, especially as it applies to the self-employed.
As a homeschool graduate, homeschooling mom, and former early education major, Jennifer has spent over 12 years collecting educational materials and ideas as well as writing lesson plans, unit studies, and learning about homeschool law. She currently maintains a blog devoted to finding quality, free and inexpensive resources for homeschoolers, teachers, and daycare/church workers.
Jennifer has been writing since her second grade teacher assigned a daily journal. Now, 22 years later, she still journals regularly and her passion for writing has never faded. She still has her first journal and has assigned a writing journal for her children, hoping that they will find their own joy in seeing their thoughts on paper as well.
