Larry Stevenson (PrinceSerendip) hails from central Canada, in the Province of Manitoba. In addition to an ongoing passion for writing articles on computer and Internet security, his interests include old movies, classical music, and videogames. He is currently working as an emergency responder. Larry has proficiency in ASL, American Sign Language (for the Deaf), as part of his regular job.

Larry Stevenson has worked in the security and emergency response field for over twenty years, providing consultant services to homes, commercial properties and apartment complexes. He has extensive experience with security issues on personal computers and the Internet. Larry also works as a MVP, volunteer and global moderator, at the SpywareHammer forums, a site dedicated to helping all Microsoft users. He is a member of UNITE: Unified Network of Instructors and Trained Eliminators, and ASAP: Alliance of Security Analysis Professionals.
Larry co-wrote "Rootkits For Dummies" for Wiley Publishing Inc., with co-author Nancy Altholz and Tech-Editor Lawrence Abrams. The book was published on January 30, 2007 in the USA and Canada, and worldwide in February and March.
Previously, Larry wrote the Windows Security Checklist, 33 weekly articles on computer and Internet security. He has also written articles for magazines and newspapers.
